韩国央行周三表示，随着基数效应逐渐减弱，9月份通胀率预计将较上月有所回落，但核心物价压力仍可能持续，尤其是对核心商品而言。
韩国央行副行长．Lee Ji-ho在召开会议审查通胀趋势时指出：“8月份消费者价格指数因去年某电信公司推出的折扣计划产生基数效应，增速高于前月。”
他补充道：“9月份消费者价格涨幅预计将低于8月，随着基数效应消退，但整体上升趋势仍将持续，尤其在核心商品方面。”
当天早些时候公布的政府数据显示，受油价居高不下影响，韩国8月份消费者价格指数（CPI）同比上涨3.1%。此外，移动服务订阅费用上涨也推动了价格上涨，这与去年SK电信发生数据泄露事件后推出大规模降价所形成的基数效应有关。
剔除波动较大的食品和能源价格后，8月份核心通胀率为3.4%，达到自2023年5月的3.8%以来的最高水平。
