消息面上，据市场媒体报道，美国中央司令部9月5日发声明称，在伊朗伊斯兰革命卫队向两艘在地区水域巡逻的美军舰船发射弹道导弹后，美国中央司令部部队对三艘伊朗原油运输船实施了打击。伊朗方面，伊朗最高安全官员穆赫辛·雷扎伊表示，未来几天将在霍尔木兹海峡外侧宣布设立新的限制区。穆赫辛·雷扎伊表示，该区域“将从美国海军的封锁线开始，延伸至波斯湾部分地区”。
需要关注的是，此次本轮冲突自2月爆发以来，美军首次将航行中的原油运输工具纳入打击目标，标志着美伊交锋从"打击产能与设施"正式升级至"打击运输通道"。市场关注点由此从"伊朗减产多少"转向"海峡能否安全通行"，油价与航运保险的定价框架均面临重估压力。高盛表示，若中东地区对航运的袭击事件增加，油价可能反弹至每桶120美元。
