MTR JV Wins Parramatta Integrated Station Development Contract in Australia

MTR (HKG:0066) said its joint venture with two Gamuda Berhad subsidiaries has been awarded the Parramatta Integrated Station Development contract on Sydney Metro West in Australia.

The contract covers designing and constructing the future Parramatta metro station and developing office, retail and residential properties above and adjacent to the station, according to company announcement on Tuesday.

The joint venture comprises MTR Corp. Australia, Gamuda Engineering Australia and Gamuda Australia. The Parramatta station is targeted to open in 2032, with the property developments to be delivered in phases after the railway opens.

Shares of MTR fell nearly 1% in recent trade.
