Australian Consumer Inflation Expectations Hold Steady in September

Australia's consumer inflation expectations were unchanged at 4.9% in September, following a period of moderation between May and July, according to the Melbourne Institute Survey of Consumer Inflationary Expectations on Thursday.
Trimmed mean inflation expectations remained well below April's spike but were slightly higher than at the same time last year, per the survey.
Expectations for year-ahead wage growth fell to 1.2%, suggesting last month's rise in wage expectations was temporary, the survey added.
