Materials Down with Metals Prices - Materials Roundup

Producers of metals, grains and other raw materials fell alongside metals prices after surprisingly strong inflation data bolstered the U.S. dollar.

Copper futures tumbled from all-time highs, losing 5% of their value in New York after Reuters reported that the U.S. could hold off on refined-copper tariffs. Shares of copper miners such as Freeport McMoRan fell in sympathy.

The stronger dollar weighed on gold futures.

Chemours, DuPont de Nemours and Corteva settled with North Carolina and 11 communities that were excluded from a previous settlement over drinking-water toxins.
