Gilt Yields Extend Fall After BOE's Inflation Attitudes Survey

0954 GMT - Yields on U.K. government bonds, or gilts, extend fall after the Bank of England inflation attitudes survey from August showed a decline in households' future inflation expectations. Median one-year ahead inflation expectations declined to 3.6%, compared with 4.0% in May. Ten-year gilt yields fall to 5.333%, down 3.6 basis points on the day, from 5.354% prior to the data release, LSEG data show. Still, some caution is needed as the BOE changed the survey's service provider to Savanta from Ipsos previously, Pantheon Macroeconomics economists say in a note. "A change in survey provider heavily flatters the numbers," they say. In its press release, the BOE also advised caution in comparing the May and August surveys as a result.
