ChainCatcher 消息，美国财政部长斯科特·贝森特（Scott Bessent）在 X 平台发文，强烈敦促参议院在结束八月休会后推进加密货币 Clarity 法案的立法进程。他表示，该法案将阻止“不良行为者”利用重要的数字资产技术，并呼吁各方留在谈判桌上、同意进入程序动议并继续立法进程。
贝森特警告称，若未能通过该法案，将向盟友和对手发出令人不安的信号，表明美国不愿引领数字资产的未来，也愿意放弃打击数字资产滥用的国家安全工具。今年 7 月，贝森特曾表示，若想站在“美国例外主义”一边，就必须通过 Clarity 法案，并引用中本聪的言论。
Clarity 法案去年已获众议院通过，旨在建立监管框架，明确划分数字资产属于证券、大宗商品还是稳定币的监管归属。该法案今年因银行业游说团体与加密企业在稳定币收益问题上的分歧而陷入停滞，7 月新草案禁止政府官员推广加密货币或从中获利，但部分民主党人仍认为法案存在不足并要求修改。总统特朗普也敦促议员推动该法案通过。
