Starshield星盾为SpaceX面向军事、情报场景打造的卫星服务，而Starlink星链主要面向普通消费者与商业客户。相关文件显示，英国国防部将采购约1000台星盾终端、500台星链终端，总金额2950万英镑，折合3990万美元。目前SpaceX尚未对媒体置评。
