ASE Technology's Advanced Semiconductor Engineering Buys Operating Equipment Worth $11 Million

ASE Technology (ASX) subsidiary Advanced Semiconductor Engineering agreed to acquire a batch of operating equipment from an affiliated company, Machvision, for 334.3 million new Taiwan dollar ($10.6 million), ASE said in a stock filing on Friday.
The transaction was approved by Advanced Semiconductor Engineering's board on Friday, the filing said. The purchase price was determined through price comparison and negotiation, with payment to be made by telegraphic transfer or letter of credit, the company said.
The equipment will be used for production and operational purposes, the company said.
Shares of ASE were down more than 1.4% in pre-bell activity on Friday.
