世界铂金投资协会（WPIC）表示，受投资者大规模抛售等因素影响，铂金市场在连续三年短缺后，今年料将转为供应过剩。今年年初，贵金属卷入投资狂潮，铂金飙升至近3000美元/盎司的历史新高。随后这一涨势急剧逆转，铂金已较1月峰值下跌逾三分之一。WPIC目前预测2026年将出现8.2吨的供应过剩，而今年早些时候预测为9.2吨的短缺。这一变化几乎完全归因于投资需求的下调，预计今年ETF持仓将减少约12吨。WPIC研究主管埃德·斯特克表示，随着投资者需求回升，预计下半年市场将出现供应缺口，但这不足以弥补年初大量ETF流出的影响。
