NY State Issuing ESG Designated GO Bonds

1421 ET - New York state says it will issue its first general obligation bonds with an ESG distinction. State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli says the sustainability bond issuance, totaling $317.2 million, is scheduled for September 17. The bonds will finance transportation, education and environmental projects, the comptroller adds. The offering will contain $285 million of tax-exempt bonds and $52.8 million of taxable bonds.
