在就业超预期反弹叠加通胀顽固的背景下，市场对美联储9月加息的预期明显上升。截至13日，芝商所的“美联储观察”工具显示，市场押注美联储本月加息25个基点的概率超过87%。不过，美国白宫国家经济委员会主任哈西特13日表示，美国总统特朗普及其本人认为当前没有加息理由，中期选举前维持政策稳定更为重要。
英国央行将于当地时间17日公布议息决议。数据显示，7月英国国内生产总值环比增长0.4%，表现好于市场预期。分析机构普遍预计，本次会议将维持基准利率不变。但由于能源成本仍可能向消费价格传导，部分交易员开始押注英国11月加息25个基点。
日本央行将于17日至18日召开货币政策会议。共同社此前报道称，日本央行考虑将政策利率上调25个基点至1.25%。若落地，这将成为日本约31年来最高政策利率，也是继6月加息后时隔三个月再度行动。推动加息预期的主要因素包括日元贬值等。
