ChainCatcher 消息，据 Business Insider 报道，前谷歌首席科学家 Jeff Dean 离职后创立的 AI 初创公司 Discovery Loop 正在进行新一轮融资，目标估值约 500 亿美元。就在数周前，该公司刚完成以约 100 亿美元估值融资 10 亿美元的轮次。
Discovery Loop 致力于通过 AI 自动化实验、加速科学与工程领域的重大发现，首轮融资由 Radical Ventures 与 Khosla Ventures 领投，Lightspeed、Kleiner Perkins 等参投，Alphabet 亦为创始投资方。公司联合创始人团队均为谷歌技术元老，包括 Sanjay Ghemawat、Quoc Le 及 Oriol Vinyals，三人分别在分布式计算、深度学习及强化学习领域拥有深厚积累。
