美国总统唐纳德·特朗普的能源行业高官之一表示，美国禁止燃油出口或原油出口并不会降低零售油价。
领导着特朗普国家能源主导委员会的内政部长道格·伯古姆周一在休斯敦举行的二十国集团（G20）能源峰会间隙发表上述言论。
由于零售柴油价格创下每加仑6美元以上的历史新高，汽油价格也超过每加仑4美元，外界纷纷猜测，特朗普政府可能会在关键的中期选举前几周采取出口限制措施，以消除不利影响。
行业分析师和市场观察人士对于此类限制措施长期内是否能为消费者减压存在分歧。
伯格姆说道：“如果我们认为出口禁令可能会降低价格，我们会考虑实施出口禁令，但事实并非如此。”他和能源部长克里斯·赖特一直公开反对实施此类限制。
伯格姆重申了自己的立场，表示所有选项都在考虑范围内，只有“停止出口与降低国内价格之间存在直接关联”时才会考虑出口禁令。
