智通财经APP获悉，美联储举行议息会议，市场对加息的预期大幅升温，其中，摩根士丹利改为预计美联储9月和12月各加息25个基点，但渣打银行仍然预期维持利率不变。
高盛、摩根大通、汇丰及德银等多家投资大行均预计，美联储将于本周加息。摩根士丹利的经济学家改变对美联储政策的预测，转而认为会在9月和12月分别加息25个基点。该行8月重申其预估是，美联储今年不会调整利率，明年将降息两次，各25个基点。大摩报告并称，美联储一旦行动，很少只动一次；预计12月之后美联储将随着通胀放缓而暂停加息。
渣打认为，美联储本周不应加息，按兵不动才是正确选择；仍然预期维持利率不变。渣打报告表示，美联储正确的政策决定是维持利率不变，直到关税和数据修正带来的杂音消退。然而，按兵不动存在明显风险，可能冲击美国国债孳息率曲线长端和美元。核心通胀很可能被高估；贸易关税正对核心个人消费支出(PCE)通胀产生显著、但幅度仍不确定的推升作用。
