Shares of Bally's rose as it received $560 million of financing commitments for its Bronx, N.Y., casino and for general corporate purposes.
The stock was up 9% to $10 Monday and is down about 39% this year.
The company's rapid expansion plans include the $4 billion Bronx casino resort slated to open in 2030. Shares fell 26% on Aug. 17 after the company discussed financing issues in a securities filing.
Bally's said Monday that financing led by WhiteHawk Capital Partners includes closing date term loan commitments of $400 million and delayed draw term loan commitments of $160 million.
"This important financing allows us to progress the preconstruction planning process so that we are ready to complete the remainder of the capital raise and remain on schedule," Bally's Chairman Soo Kim said.
