Costco Wholesale Nearly Doubles Kirkland Motor Oil Price, Caps Purchases at Two Weekly

Costco Wholesale (COST) has raised prices on its Kirkland Signature private-label motor oil and imposed weekly purchase limits as crude oil prices continue to climb, the multiple outlets reported Monday.
Costco's Kirkland Signature full-synthetic motor oil 5-quart two-pack now costs around $58, up from about $30 last year, and purchases are limited to two boxes per week, according to the reports.
The retailer is also limiting purchases of Mobil 1's full-synthetic 1-quart six-pack, priced at about $44, to five per membership, the reports said.
Costco did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
