Tech Down, but not by Much, as Traders Weigh AI Boom Outlook

Shares of technology companies fell, but not by as much as the broad market, as traders bet the artificial-intelligence boom would continue, despite pledges to slow down model development.

Factory, which makes autonomous AI agents that code, has raised $200 million at a $5 billion valuation, the company said, more than three times its valuation from five months ago, when it last raised funding.

Singapore delivery app owner Grab agreed to buy a 60% stake in payment-technology firm Atome Financial for $1.49 billion in cash.
