Waymo计划通过2028年在新加坡推出其自动驾驶网约车服务，首次进军东南亚市场。
这家Alphabet旗下的独立子公司表示，其首批全电动自动驾驶汽车将在未来几个月内抵达新加坡，与此同时该公司将在当地建立业务。
Waymo此次的启动是与新加坡交通部和陆路交通管理局合作进行的。
这家在美国拥有大量无人驾驶出租车的公司本周早些时候表示，其目标是2027年在东京推出服务。Waymo还披露了在慕尼黑和伦敦的推出计划。
Waymo在2月份的最新估值为1,260亿美元，并已完成超过2,000万次完全自动驾驶的出行服务。
该公司表示，计划于2027年在新加坡开展地图绘制工作，届时将由训练有素的自动驾驶专家进行初步的人工驾驶，使Waymo Driver适应当地道路和季风气候模式，之后计划于2028年进行公开商业发布。
