外媒表示，例如今年 8 月一款名为《Needle in a Haystack Simulator》的“找物品类”游戏预告片突然走红，相关预告视频在 X 平台总播放量超过 5000 万次，然而许多恶劣游戏开发者嗅到商机，直接山寨了一批玩法和名称相近的作品，由于原作实际上尚未发售，感兴趣的玩家试图在 Steam 查找游戏，结果极易下载到山寨作品。
具体来看，这些山寨游戏包含《A Needle in a Haystack》《CO-OP Needle Hunt: A Needle in a Haystack Challenge》《Story of The Needle in a Haystack》等，这些游戏 Logo 和宣传素材均呈现出较为明显的 AI 生成痕迹，显然可以看出恶意开发者使用 AI 高速复制了原作内容。
《Needle in a Haystack Simulator》开发者表示，目前平台大量山寨作品已严重影响自家作品曝光率，因此其不得不在游戏宣传图上增加醒目的红色标识，强调这是“原版”游戏，以帮助玩家与其他类似作品区分。
