作为全国重要的综合能源基地，山西拥有丰富的非常规天然气资源。9月18日，从山西省统计局传来消息，今年8月份山西非常规天然气产量达到16.8亿立方米，同比增长7.7%；前8个月非常规天然气累计产量达到133.2亿立方米，创历史同期产量新高。

非常规天然气是指那些在地下赋存状态和聚集方式与常规天然气藏具有明显差异的天然气，包括页岩气、致密砂岩气等。山西非常规天然气预测总资源量约20万亿立方米，约占全国天然气预测资源总量的8%。

近年来，山西省锚定非常规天然气这一重要突破口，集中力量攻克开发难题，在区块建设、技术革新等领域持续发力，推动非常规天然气实现增储上产加力提速。山西省能源局局长张翔表示，“十四五”期间，山西省累计建成6个10亿立方米级大型气田，建成全国最大中浅层煤层气田、最大深部煤层气田和全省首个大型整装致密气田，产业基础持续夯实。

今年是“十五五”开局之年，为实现非常规天然气资源优势转化为产业优势，山西将推动浅层煤层气稳产、深层煤层气上产、致密煤层气控减，分区分策提量上产，力争到“十五五”末，全省非常规天然气产量达到300亿立方米。
