Onsemi Launches Embedded Power Platform With Subaru as One of Its First Partners

Onsemi (ON) said Wednesday it launched the embedded power platform as part of efforts to overhaul system power delivery through higher power density and the integration of multiple dies into a single silicon device.

The platform enables relatively higher power density through simultaneous optimization of electrical, thermal, and mechanical characteristics within a single architecture, according to a statement.

This mechanism is expected to help clients minimize development complexity, achieve higher power density and better system performance, while scaling amid rising demand for AI infrastructure, the company said.

Separately, Onsemi said Subaru has entered a technology engagement with the company to evaluate how EPP's integrated approach to power system design could support future electrified vehicle architectures.

Under the agreement, Subaru will access engineering samples, simulation models, and technical expertise to explore ways to enhance vehicle performance and simplify development, according to a statement.
