9月17日，比特币基础软的新版本进入最终测试，变化主要落在节运行与交易处理。CoinDesk九月十六日报道，Bitcoin Core第三十二版计划于十月发布。对此，OEXN表示，版本优化涉及费用估算、区块验证和钱包接口，不意味着比特币共识规则已经改变。
费用估算尤其体现了数据选择的重要性。新方案除参考已确认交易，还会观察等待确认的交易，OEXN认为，这有助于在拥堵缓解后更及时反映环境变化。不过，推荐费用仍是估算结果，确认速度取决于交易竞争、区块空间以及用户设定，不能理解为固定时限承诺。
对钱包开发者而言，默认交易格式的调整同样需要准备。多方签名流程可能横跨应用、硬件设备和节接口，一个环节支持新格式，并不代表整条链路都已兼容。上线前的联调、异常回退和版本说明，往往比表面上的处理速度提升更能影响实际体验。而且，节点硬件与存储性能存在差异，同一版本在不同运行环境中的效率提升，也可能表现出不同幅度。
测试阶段也让安全修复有机会在稳定版本发布前完成。对于这一进展，OEXN分析称，衡量升级效果应以正式说明、兼容性验证和真实运行表现为依据。技术维护增强的是网络服务能力，软更新与市场价格之间不存在必然的同步关系，二者仍应分开观察。
