Sanofi Opens New Flu Vaccine Facility in Toronto

Sanofi (SNY) said Wednesday it has opened the Charles Best Building flu vaccine manufacturing facility within the Sanofi Toronto campus that will manufacture its Fluzone High-Dose influenza vaccine.

The expansion, which is worth 925 million Canadian dollars ($663.7 million), comprises CA$415 million in partnership from the Government of Canada and CA$55 million from the Government of Ontario.

The company said the facility is now fully operational and will start production early next year, pending regulatory approval.
