9月18日，原油进入炼厂后，产出结构的调整也会改变市场供需。九月十七日，Oilprice援引高盛研究称，炼厂偏向柴油生产，可能令汽油供应趋紧。EasyMarkets易信表示，这一判断关注的是不同油品之间的资源分配，说明原油价格之外，加工环节同样能够形成重要的定价变化。

　　柴油收益较高时，炼厂有动力提高相应产出，但装置与原料条件决定了调整空间。EasyMarkets易信认为，生产选择不是可以无限切换的开关，原油品质、工艺能力及其他产品需求都会形成约束。即便柴油占比提高，也需要核对整体加工量，才能判断汽油供应究竟减少多少。

　　从需求端看，汽油更多关联出行，柴油则广泛服务于运输与工业活动。两者消费节奏不同，炼厂针对眼前利润进行调整，可能改变另一种产品未来的库存缓冲。若汽油需求在供应偏紧时恢复，价格压力才更容易显现；若需求持续疲弱，产出减少也未必带来同幅度上涨。实际调整的持续时间同样影响后续供给。

　　对于这类中期预测，EasyMarkets易信分析称，验证重点应放在炼厂实际收率、季节性检修和油品库存上。研究机构预期可以提示潜在矛盾，但不能代替供需兑现。只有生产调整和消费变化共同支持，油品间的强弱关系才可能延续，原油市场分析也应避免把某一种成品油走势简单复制到全部能源价格。
