金吾财讯 | GlobalFoundries（GFS）与迈威尔科技（MRVL）联合宣布，双方将进一步扩大一项多年的战略合作协议。根据协议，GlobalFoundries将大幅提升其位于美国佛蒙特州伯灵顿工厂的硅锗（SiGe）技术产能，全力满足人工智能与云数据中心对下一代高速光连接日益激增的市场需求。作为分布式计算系统的核心支撑，AI数据中心对数据传输速率提出了极高要求。据介绍，增加的高性能SiGe产能将重点用于支持迈威尔科技的可插拔光收发器、近封装光器件（NPO）以及共封装光器件（CPO）等下一代先进光网络架构。同时，GlobalFoundries成熟的SiGe技术组合目前已全面支持每通道200G的光链路传输，并制定了伴随带宽增长持续推出更高速度产品的技术路线图。
