智通财经APP获悉，美联储上调息率25个基点，为逾3年以来首次加息。宏利投资管理环球首席经济师Alex Grassino 认为，本次加息符合市场普遍预期，而美联储公布的经济预测，亦大致符合未来进一步温和收紧政策的预期。
Grassino指出，议息声明及新闻发布会的内容均较以往精简。在美联储主席沃什领导下，议息声明篇幅持续缩短；值得注意的是，本次加息决定获得全体委员一致支持。从记者会所见，沃什似乎正逐步建立其独特的传媒沟通风格。例如，在问答环节中回应更为简洁、不设追问，而且整体时长缩短至30分钟，较历任主席时期的45分钟为短。
Grassino称，整体而言，市场一直关注美联储能否免受现届美国政府的影响，维持央行决策的独立性。宏利投资管理仍然认为，沃什偏鹰派的言论已在一定程度上回应相关忧虑，而他今次的实际行动亦印证其早前立场。未来是否会延续这种模式，仍有待进一步观察。
