路透9月21日 - 香港新世界发展 0017.HK 周一表示，上海证券交易所已批准其房地产投资信托基金（REIT）的分拆及上市，预计募资规模为38.2亿元人民币（5.7036亿美元）。

该公司表示，预计将在上市时认购总单位数的20%，其余80%将由外部投资者认购，总金额为30.5亿元。
作为交易的一部分，新世界将以40.1亿元的价格，将其持有的上海香港新世界大厦控股公司出售给这家新上市的REIT。
新世界预计将通过此次资产出售及认购该REIT 20%的股权，获得32.4亿元的净收益。
在香港房地产市场疲软的背景下，新世界通过此次REIT上市，旨在为债务再融资并增强流动性。
据彭博社5月报导，由于新世界拒绝让渡控制权，黑石集团 BX.N 因此退出 (link) 与新世界拟议的40亿美元合作计划。
