Jeld-Wen (JELD) and some of its creditors are working on a deal that could include a fresh investment of capital to allow unsecured creditors to become secured creditors, Bloomberg reported Monday, citing people familiar with the situation.
Under the deal being considered, lenders to loans due in 2028 would have an option to either extend their terms at full value or be repaid at a discount, the report said.
The capital would be used to pay off lenders who choose to cash out and also provide additional funds for Jeld-Wen, the report said.
Jeld-Wen did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
