泰国财政部长埃克尼蒂（Ekniti Nitithanprapas）周一表示，泰国正在考虑针对部分产品下调石油消费税。
埃克尼蒂指出，降低燃油消费税将有助于缓解能源危机给民众带来的生活成本压力。
他表示，之所以考虑减税，是因为几乎所有其他措施都已用尽；他提到，泰国此前已通过压缩炼油利润来降低燃油成本，并动用了石油燃料基金以稳定价格。
埃克尼蒂补充道，减税措施将适用于 E20 和 B20 等混合生物燃料，这将惠及农民。
他表示：“任何减税方案的设计都不会影响泰国的财政状况，而财政状况正是信用评级机构考量的重要优势之一。”
埃克尼蒂还表示，他将在周二的内阁会议上寻求批准延长消费者补贴计划。
