英伟达CEO黄仁勋在周日的一次采访中表示，如果美国加州在今年秋季投票通过拟议的“亿万富翁税”，他并不介意为此多缴纳数十亿美元的税款。
该提案将对净资产至少达10亿美元的加州居民征收一次性5%的税。
身价据估计达1840亿美元的黄仁勋表示，在五年内缴纳高达80亿美元的税款对他而言并无妨碍。
“能够负担得起在五年内缴纳80亿美元税款，这是一种特权，”黄仁勋说道，“我视其为一种特权，也是一种责任。没有什么比能够缴纳更多税款更让我感到快乐的了。”
黄仁勋还以幽默的口吻谈到了自己巨额的财富。
“我不怕交税——我只怕变穷，”他说。
黄仁勋将自己形容为“终极美国梦”的化身，并归功于美国提供的教育与职业机遇，正是这些机遇助他走上了创业之路。
这位英伟达CEO还回顾了自己的早期职业生涯，提到在联合创立这家芯片公司之前，他曾在Denny’s餐厅做过洗碗工。
“当时我真的非常、非常专注于洗碗——洗得比任何人都要认真，”黄仁勋说道，以此形容他的职业生涯已从早年的起点走了多远。
