The Asian Development Bank raised its economic growth estimate for Malaysia in 2026, but kept its inflation forecast unchanged.
In its Asian Development Outlook update published Wednesday, the ADB expects the country's economy to grow at 4.9% in 2026, up from its July forecast of 4.6%.
For 2027, the real GDP growth estimate was also raised to 4.7%, up from the 4.5% predicted in July.
The ADB expects inflation in Malaysia to remain at 2.0% in 2026, up from 1.4% in 2025, and unchanged from its July projection.
