Sojitz (TYO:2768) mulls 100 billion yen in investments in renewable energy grids and other infrastructure in Australia and New Zealand over the next three years amid rising electricity demand, Nikkei Asia reported Thursday.

The Japan-based general trading company plans to expand its energy-related businesses, including power grids and data center cooling systems, as high digital demand drives electricity consumption, according to the report.

The company also plans to be involved in the construction of an arena for the 2032 Olympics in Brisbane, Australia, the report said.
