MDA Space to Launch Share Repurchase Program for 5% of Public Float

MDA Space intends to launch a share repurchase program to buy back up to 5% of its common shares over the course of the year.

The Canadian robotics, satellite systems and geointelligence company on Monday said that the Toronto Stock Exchange has approved its normal course issuer bid to buy back up to 8.1 million shares for cancellation.

Shares have been enjoying a strong run in 2026, rising 58% since the start of the year to close on Friday at 42.05 Canadian dollars ($30.07).

At Friday's closing price, the value of the shares intended for buyback would be worth about C$340.9 million.

MDA can begin buying back shares starting on Sept. 23.
