Yamaichi Electronics (TYO:6941) has resolved to transfer 32,400 shares, or 15% of voting rights, in wholly owned subsidiary Koshin Kogaku (KKC) to VS Technology.

The share transfer agreement was executed on Sept. 18, and closing is scheduled for Sept. 25, according to a Tokyo bourse filing.

The transfer aims to strengthen the group's optical-related business by combining KKC's manufacturing capabilities with VS Tech's established overseas sales network to expand sales.

KKC and VST already have a business relationship, with KKC's products used in filters of VST's

machine vision lenses, the filing said.

Yamaichi Electronics will retain 85% ownership of KKC, which will remain a consolidated subsidiary.
