General Mills (GIS) is expected to report an in-line fiscal Q1 while leaving its fiscal 2027 guidance unchanged, RBC Capital Markets said in a Monday note. The results are due Sept. 23.

The report said sales growth should be consistent with expectations as North America retail and Pet appear to be trending with management expectations.

RBC analysts said they are below consensus on the bottom line due to high inflation, lower cost savings, and lower volumes.

The report also said trade feedback has skewed incrementally negative on the pet category, with macro pressures weighing on consumption and the shift from large dogs to small dogs and cats causing a negative impact on revenue and margins.

RBC kept its outperform rating and a $45 price target.
