快科技9月21日消息，记者马克·古尔曼曾透露，苹果正在考虑为iPhone Duo推出新款Apple Pencil，但他当时认为苹果最终实施的可能性不大。
古尔曼最近表示，支持Apple Pencil一直在iPhone Duo的开发计划中，苹果也已将该产品设计为兼容Apple Pencil。
不过，苹果最初计划为iPhone Duo开发一款全新的Apple Pencil。这款笔体积更小，可安装在iPhone Duo的铰链侧。
从测试方案来看，这支Apple Pencil的长度要比iPad所用版本短一些。毕竟手机的机身尺寸有限，尤其是在折叠形态下，留给配件的空间并不算充裕。
该Apple Pencil在量产前遇到“技术问题”，苹果因此放弃了这款产品。
目前尚不清楚，新款Apple Pencil的技术问题究竟出在Apple Pencil本身，还是出在iPhone Duo的磁吸充电功能上。如果是前者，苹果或许仍会在稍后推出这款配件。
