WPP Likely Caught by Surprise by CFO Departure

1128 GMT - WPP CFO Joanne Wilson's decision to step down to join Diageo might have come as a surprise at the U.K. advertising group, Bernstein analysts say. Wilson--who joined WPP in 2023--has a 12-month notice period and will stay in her current role until a successor has been appointed, the company said. WPP will probably want to be well down the road of identifying a new CFO before releasing her, Bernstein says. WPP shares fall 0.4%, while Diageo's rise 0.1%.
