Healius (ASX:HLS) pathology volume growth in fiscal 2027 will be "critical" for margin improvement after the sale of Agilex to Novotech, said Jefferies in a Friday note.
Jefferies noted that the AU$160 million sale price is below the AU$301 million paid in 2022 by Healius to acquire Agilex, but implies about 15 times fiscal 2026 earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortization.
The investment firm said it sees early signs of improvement in Australian Healthcare Services.
Jefferies kept a hold rating on Healius and increased its price target to AU$0.44 from AU$0.41.
