Polymarket tapped a Goldman Sachs veteran to lead efforts to scale up the prediction-markets company's work with Wall Street.
The New York company on Tuesday named Lisa Mantil as head of institutional growth, a role in which she'll be responsible for the company's work with investment managers, trading firms, corporates and banks.
Mantil will help to build the products, infrastructure and liquidity that institutions need to participate in prediction markets at scale, Polymarket said.
Mantil previously spent nearly three decades at Goldman Sachs, where she was named partner in 2018.
The appointment comes as Polymarket pushes to expand its U.S. platform after gaining regulatory oversight from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. The company has made several key executive appointments recently, naming its first chief financial officer earlier this month and a chief growth officer over the summer.
