Accent Resources Says Independent Testing Confirms Technical Viability of Dry Processing Flowsheet; Shares Rise 10%

Accent Resources (ASX:ACS) said independent dry magnetic separation test work showed that high-grade magnetite concentrates can be produced through a dry flowsheet at bench scale, according to a Wednesday filing with the Australian bourse.

The test work was completed by mineral processing technology firm LONGI Magnet on representative samples from Accent's Magnetite Range project in Western Australia, per the filing.

The work was designed to assess whether dry processing can produce a saleable magnetite concentrate and provide a technically credible alternative alongside wet processing routes in the Magnetite Range project's pre-feasibility study.

The company said dual-drum dry magnetic separation of four samples produced final concentrates grading 66.3% to 68% iron at a grind of about 75 microns, with overall magnetic iron recovery for the four tests reaching over 98%.

Shares of Accent Resources jumped 10% in recent Wednesday trade.
