Asian equities traded in the US as American depositary receipts were lower on Tuesday morning, decreasing 0.3% to 2,981.65 on the S&P Asia 50 ADR Index.
From North Asia, the gainers were led by retailer Miniso (MNSO) and semiconductor company United Microelectronics (UMC), which gained 2.6% and 4.4% respectively.
They were followed by semiconductor company SK Hynix (SKHY) and biotechnology company Legend Biotech (LEGN), which advanced 3.2% and 2.1% respectively.
The decliners from North Asia were led by music streaming company Tencent Music Entertainment (TME), which dropped 5%, and electric vehicle makers Nio (NIO) and Xpeng (XPEV), which fell 4.9% and 4.3% respectively.
They were followed by autonomous driving technology company Pony AI (PONY), which shed 3.4%.
From South Asia, the gainers were led by pharmaceutical company Dr. Reddy's Laboratories (RDY) and computer hardware manufacturer Canaan (CAN), which rose 3.2% and 3% respectively.
The decliners from South Asia were led by Wipro (WIT), which fell 1%, followed by telecom PLDT (PHI), which was down 1.3%.
