路透9月29日 - 美国化工企业韦斯特莱克 WLK.N 周二表示，将于2027年第一季度关闭其位于德国科隆的聚氯乙烯（PVC）工厂，并裁减120个岗位，同时将生产转移至成本更低的基地。
该公司还表示，预计第三季度财务业绩将较上一季度下滑，原因包括 北美地区PVC和聚乙烯价格走低、运费上涨以及房地产市场活动疲软。

Westlake预计此次关闭将产生约2.05亿美元的税前费用，其中包括1亿美元的现金费用和1.05亿美元的非现金费用
预计今年将计提其中约1.1亿美元，剩余部分将于2027年计提
科隆工厂的PVC年产能约为16.5万吨
该公司表示，北美地区的PVC和聚乙烯价格在第二季度上涨后，于第三季度出现回落，原因是伊朗冲突爆发初期出现的涨势有所趋缓
柴油价格上涨也推高了运费，而利率上升则导致住房市场活动放缓，给其住房与基础设施产品部门的销售带来了压力
