PMGC Unit Working With Charles River Laboratories for Muscle Health Probiotic Testing

PMGC Holdings (ELAB) said Tuesday its NorthStrive Biosciences unit entered into an agreement with Charles River Laboratories (CRL) to perform analytical testing for two engineered probiotic programs.
The program aims to support manufacturing consistency for the EL-22 and EL-32 candidates, which are probiotics designed to maintain muscle health in patients receiving GLP-1 weight loss treatments, as they advance toward clinical trial preparation, the company said.
Charles River will conduct testing to measure plasmid copy numbers in the bacterial product candidates.
