Nvidia (NVDA) CEO Jensen Huang and other executives questioned Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei about his public warnings on AI risks, The Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday, citing unnamed people familiar with the meeting.

The executives asked Amodei why he was taking such a strong public position on the capabilities and risks of AI models, the WSJ reported.

Amodei responded that companies should be transparent about AI capabilities and risks rather than downplaying them, according to the report.

The discussion took place among a smaller group of executives, White House aides and advisers working on principles to improve AI model safety, the report said.

Nvidia and Anthropic did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
