BearingPoint said Thursday that nearly three-quarters of organizations using AI are seeing measurable effects on revenue or profit, but only 13% have expanded their AI programs in line with their original plans.
The findings come from a global survey of 1,050 executives across 13 countries, the consultancy firm said. Based on survey results, four in 10 organizations have seen revenue growth and cost reduction with AI, but more than six in 10 also reported workforce overcapacity of at least 10% due to AI, BearingPoint said.
BearingPoint's survey also indicated improving AI maturity, with 54% of organizations in the implementation stage, while firms with deep AI integration increased to 11% this year from 7% in 2025.
The survey also found that more than three-quarters of organizations are still studying or testing AI agents. Only 13% have an active strategy for deploying them, while 10% are already expanding agentic AI across their organizations, BearingPoint said.
