The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries, along with Russia and other allies, is delaying a review to set oil output quotas for 2027 due to disruptions in capacity expansion plans caused by the Iran war, Reuters reported Friday, citing sources close to the matter.
The review had been ordered in late 2025 and was expected to be completed by the end of September, Reuters reported. The review is intended to assess how much oil each country can produce sustainably.
OPEC+ didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
