1809 ET - Nike says growth rates in the current second quarter will likely be pressured. The company will be comparing with a quarter when certain promotional events helped Nike's performance last year, executives say during a call with analysts. Along with that, Nike is also reducing supply in parts of the marketplace. Those actions are expected to create pressure through the rest of this fiscal year, and contribute to challenges in the current quarter, executives say. Together, the reductions and the year-over-year comparison represent a headwind of about 4 percentage points to revenue growth in the second quarter, they say.
