Positive outlook reflects above-average capital adequacy and continued financial strength

BOSTON, Oct. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- BlueHub Capital, a national nonprofit community development finance organization, today announced that S&P Global Ratings has enhanced the outlook for its affiliate BlueHub Loan Fund from stable to positive and affirmed its 'A+' long-term issuer credit rating.

S&P also affirmed its 'A+' long-term rating on BlueHub Loan Fund's Series 2020 and Series 2024 Sustainability Bonds.

BlueHub Loan Fund connects low-income communities with flexible financing to generate equitable and inclusive economic opportunity. It provides financing for a wide range of real estate-related projects including affordable housing, community health centers, schools, grocery stores and other community assets across the United States.

"This positive outlook reflects the financial strength and discipline that allow BlueHub to remain a reliable source of capital for communities, even in a challenging economic environment," said Elyse Cherry, CEO of BlueHub Capital. "Our strong financial foundation helps us continue investing in affordable housing, health care, education and other resources that communities need to thrive."

According to S&P Global Ratings, the positive outlook reflects the likelihood that BlueHub Loan Fund's capital adequacy will remain above average compared with similarly rated peers over the next two years as the organization continues mitigating risk within its lending portfolio and managing its cost of capital.

S&P's assessment highlighted BlueHub Loan Fund's:

   -- Above-average capital adequacy

-- Above-average profitability compared with other rated community
      development financial institutions

   -- Strong asset quality

-- Sufficient liquidity to meet short-term financial needs

-- Proactive loan portfolio management, thorough underwriting and a strong
      focus on risk mitigation

"Maintaining a strong investment-grade rating is important because it supports our ability to access capital and put it to work in the communities that need it most," said Karen Kelleher, President of BlueHub Loan Fund. "This recognition is a testament to our team's careful underwriting, proactive portfolio management and commitment to working flexibly with borrowers while responsibly managing risk."
