Edison Says Unit Offered Over $1 Billion in Compensation Related to Eaton Fire

Edison International (EIX) unit Southern California Edison said Thursday that it has offered over $1 billion in compensation to support eligible Altadena community members affected by the Eaton Fire.
Close to 7,200 members have received compensation offers, and the average for a homeowner with total loss stood at nearly $2 million, according to a statement.
Over 5,000 claims have been submitted, comprising over 15,300 individuals, trusts, and legal entities, the company said.
